Since playing their first gig together in 1998,  Johnny Rocket & the Thrust  has

become one of  central California's hottest cover bands, playing "Old School" R&B and

dance hits from the 60's thru the 90's in their own unique style. Band members, Roland on lead guitar, Sam on bass and keyboard, and Jim on percussion, create an awesome

sound that will make you "wanna get on your feet and dance!"

In addition to local gigs at Minnie's, Private Parties, and the Sierra Dinner Train, the band has performed at the Hard Rock Cafe in Sacramento, Harrah's Tahoe, Jackson Rancheria Casino, the Black Oak Casino, Great Plate,  Blue Fin & Bullwackers in Monterey, the 1351 Lounge in St. Helena and the Tenaya Lodge.  They have also entertained crowds at the  Gilroy Garlic Festival, Manteca Pumpkin Festival, Oakland Art & Soul Festival, Turlock Music Festival, Modesto Oktoberfest, Modesto International Festival, Special Events for KABX & the HAWK Radio station's, and the Merced County Fair.  Their touring has taken them as far south as Ventura, California, east into the Mother Lode, west to the Bay Area,  and as far north as Seattle, Washington.  Johnny Rocket & the Thrust is looking forward to making your next event or private celebration a memorable and enjoyable one!
